We've been mad practicing with Deo for the last coupla weeks...
We're rehasing and reworking the whole thing...
lots of fun.
I've told Timmy he'd better do well what with all those helping him/us at www.sendtimmy.com

but other then that we've been up to all sorts of thigns.
2 new disciples dropped into our home.
pretty cool guys...
and we're out witnessing, rasing funds, getting ready to move to the great ol state of Texas...
we do things real slow though so that we can enjoy it all the more...
when august 1st hits then we'll have to really step it up a notch as we'll have Salt of earth here with us.
we'll be practicing up a storm and that will be when we also will start tackling Plan of attack again.

Eurock is gonna be fun, DV...

Jer has generously and swiftly thrown together this site to help my bro
check it out, and if you have a couple extra dollars, throw it his way.
or if you have a site or blog, post it there and spread it around to your freinds.
Thanks! «

2006-06-14 -- the (crippled) jedi return --

So life continues to turn
like that good old wheel of time...
Slowly, methodically and ever faithful...
it moves and it grooves.

At times the wheel hits a bump and we land in the mud, life becomes somewhat unbearable and we think we cannot make it...

But as life and the Wheel would have it,
we continue to move and we continue forward...

Till once again we rotate so that we are again on top and life seems good and God seems fair...
We are such shallow beings.

Anyway that drivel was to state that things are progressing around here.
We've got a team out looking at houses.
Faithful Cri and I have been researching those for them.
We are tackling new initiatives and attempting to hit the sky thorugh it.

Oh, we're also going to EUROCK...

Heck yea!!!

S.O.E and Plan of a snack
Plus the hottest thing this side of Van Horn Texas...
DEO...
is going to hit the open road and play for all the merry Europeans and hopefully rock them all silly.
No seriously,
we just hope to give them something to move to and ignite a sweet fire in their bosoms...

Europe, we love you.

2006-06-02 -- fast falls ... --

Man… life just doesn’t stop…
I got home, got sick, went on the road…

A bunch of stuff happened really,
our home had to get back on its feet and start rolling again…
But now after a long day out in the sun doing a carwash, I’m back in my sweet trailer…

To some that might sound dreary, but right now, I’m feeling good.
Last night me and some of the guys went personal witnessing in a place called Ybor city…
It was pretty interesting, lots of clubs and bars…
We were trying to look for places to play as well as witness…
It was slow going at first, so we stopped, prayed, sat down and had some beers,
Then headed back out…
We checked out some interesting places and gave out a ton of tracts, prayed with a girl to receive eternal life and were inspired all in all…

Lately I’ve been having dreams,
Visions,
Goals,
It says: without a vision the people perish…
So it’s all good.

I just lament I don’t know any wealthy sponsor type people…
If anyone does, lemme know…

Oh, one other thing…
Love, I’ve been thinking a lot about love…
Not in-love, or love in a sexy way,
But love as in God is love,
As in love is something magical that as humans we probably won’t ever fully understand
Love that forgives, has compassion, shows mercy, sacrifices itself and dies for another…

I’m driven to no end of thought on that one word, love.
But simply it is God and so of course we won’t understand…
But that’s the beauty of the whole thing, all we have to do is accept…
So love…just for loving…

2006-05-20 -- lists & gratitude --

So Wordstock is once again over.

Really that’s only one of the reasons things have been quiet around here lately.
To be honest many different factors added up to why I’ve been so busy with other issues to the point of neglecting this site for a bit…

First, there’s life and the many things it throws at you, fast balls, curves, spinners…
God only knows what else but they come, oh yes they do, mostly in the form of change and choices…
That and challenges, things that must be overcome so as to achieve the higher goal and purpose of it all…

I’m one of those annoying people that feels he must always find a deeper reason and or purpose for everything that happens whether life choices or simple actions and deeds.

I guess we all look for something more, we seek, we journey, we yearn to find something more beyond ourselves which explains us and our lives… but really, that’s where God comes in the picture… so I won’t push that.

So a lot has happened in the first half of this year.
-Argentina and my family reunion was really cool.
-Changes in our personnel and home structure was also fun.
-Learning how to do my job better and or actually doing it was an experience.
-Seeing my own weakness, failing and humanity was obvious.
-Doing what I had thought I’d never do again and loving was eye opening.
-Coming up against large obstacles that I had no idea how to surmount was strengthening… oddly.
-Taking life simultaneously more and less seriously was a trick.
-Stretching in every area of life and learning new skills was painful, at times.
-Finding out what it might be like to be a parent was tough.
-Starting a new band with my brother and others was awesome.
-Going to Wordstock again was interesting and everything I didn’t think it would be.

Truthfully I thought I had planned it all out in my mind pretty peacefully.
But as fate or more specifically the lord would have it, it was nothing I had prepared for.
From the music, the set up, the bands, the staff… to the people who showed up, the way things happened, the interactions, the things I learned, lessons, and so much more…
All of it was amazing and strange on so many different levels.
But they say you live and you learn.
I believe that.

The bands were so cool this year.
Best yet by far…

My top songs were:
Free- Foolish little girl, Never, desperate warning etc…
S.O.E- Prophet, I choose to stand, These Cries
Creature- Cry of commitment, no way Jose, Jesus w/love
J.D- Vibrate, (I’m becoming a rapper next year, those babes…)
and all the rest were also tons of fun and so talented.

I do want to thank all the musicians who showed and who were so professional and good at what they do.
Add to that their dedication and devotion to our same cause and passion was inspiring.
Peter and Godfrey, thanks for the amazing mixing and thus making us sound as good as was allowed due to our own failings… thanks!
To all bands who allowed me to play with them, DEO, Plan of attack, 10 Bullet plan, Andrew, SafeHaven, I’m in your debt and I couldn’t say enough how talented you all are
Thanks…

And to those I met, who let me get to know them in a deeper way, and or shared time and a part of their lives with me, I thank you too.
I hate the superficiality of myself I so often portray both because of my own lethargy and shyness.
But those who let me show another side or let me see another of theirs and become their friend were so cool.
I’ll work on the bad side and I’m just happy to be in such a cool Family, and if anything I did or said was weak and or not what it should be… write and lemme know.
That and please accept my sincerest apologies.

To the teachers, thank you for showing me so much.
And to all the attendees you were the best crowd we could ever have hoped for, thank you, thank you!!

Man looking over all this I feel like I’m writing my farewell death letter…heh
It’s not that dreary really, it’s just late at night…
I’m up late at my computer sporting my fave tighty whiteys, listening to the audio from our set, and I really am feeling thankful for it all…
Both Wordstock and life leading up to it.
It’s been a wild ride and no doubt more is on the soon coming horizon.

Oh, we shelved the work on our CD, just didn’t have the time, money, expertise or means for it at the time.
That’s just so people don’t have to keep asking.
But DV soon we’ll work on it again…
And who knows we may actually start doing other things/events…

So come back by and see how we fare…
We love you all…

“Each one of us is searching for this peace of mind…
yet we fill our lives with possessions and never satisfy…
and still we hunger for the truth…
and still we search for a love…
for an answer to these questions that you hide…

…save me from myself…
…these cries…”

Ok so it took a little longer than I expected.

It wasn't due to any desire of my own, dial up is horrible and since I have no computer it takes awhile..
but enough of excuses.

Here it is...

And if you like that one, three of the same guys, Andrew, Marky and Tony have another song with the band S.O.E

Here is that link to their site which has an amazing song, "why u hate me".
give it a listen. «

Life has been too much, too much I tell you.
But hey! good news is tommorow you can download U Wonder Why.
So spread it around, if you write chain letters, send one to everyone in your adress book, tell them to come here tommorow, oh, say... mid day.
Maybe more like Afternoon.
Or if you have a cool site or blog, link to here so others can feel the love of Ten Bullet PLan.

2006-02-08 -- I'm Back --

Argentina was too cool.

I had the time of my life, and of all the crazy things, my sister gave birth to a wonderful baby boy day before I left.
Jeremy the happy dad was too cool to see again and looks great as a new father.

The meat, the women, the country and the wine were all so good, it will blow your mind...

Now home again, I'm re-adjusting and am loving it, I missed these guys.
other than that, I mixed down UwonderWhy, and have sent it to the 10 bullet guys to peruse, once they're satisfied, it will be here for download.
So stay posted, it's a kicking song.

Now I just need some time to finish the rest of our own cd.

Well all in all Mendoza Argentina is the coolest place in the word. And if you think otherwise, you probably haven't been there.
Thanks to the home there who put up with me loafing around and eating them out of house and home, and lastly, thanks to my own wonderful home for letting me off for so long.

And for the rest of you, if you like a good rockin' song, come by in a couple days, U Wonder Why should be here by then... «

I just got u wonder why back from the talented Peter over in France.
He remixed and mastered it, so once I get home and can actually hear it we´ll post it before too much longer.

Mendoza rules.
But I think I´m missing home big time, cant wait to get back. «

man...
its been a kicking time here in Argentina.
I saw my sisters which had been awhile, we did all sorts of fun stuff.
went to a winery, ate like kings, saw the country a bit.
watched tintin a ton.
Dont know if anyone knows what that is, but if youre from Europe you might.
Now life at my folks house is settling back to normal.
The food quality has gone down to oatmeal and liver. exceptional.
but its all good becase the home and evryone here is awesome. Im loving it.
will be back state side Feb 1st.
then comes the process of finishing our cd.
well I´ll have pix and more to post in a bit. but till then...
Mendoza rocks... i love it. «

2006-01-05 -- Way faring stranger --

I'm headed out today.
My plane leaves early tomorrow morning 6:00.

I'm leaving the beauty of my home and all my best freinds and loved ones.
But it won't be for long, no indeed.
I'll be back in 3 weeks just in time to get back into full swing of things here.
Hopefully I'll resume and complete work on our upcoming cd.
But till then it's Mendoza Argentina for me!
I'm so jazzed.
I'll see my mom and pop and all the siblings minus one.
Some of them I haven't seen in up to 4 years.
Well I haven't seen any of them in years so...

So shoot up a prayer for me and wish me well, as for other cool stuff, I'm gonna get ol' woollie to post pix from our drum sessions.

GBY all, loving you.

2005-12-29 -- Mo' of da musak --

Another grueling session went by today...
Leaving us with a grand total of 11 songs completed.
The drums are completed that is.
Well, we have one more day tomorrow, 2 more songs and an intro, which will give us 16 tracks total.
But other than the fact that this Cd will make no genre ryhme or reason and will be fun, I still don't know how it will fully turn out.
Well I do have a pretty good idea, and in my head its pretty cool, but I guess we/you the public shall decide that soon.
We're shooting for May.
Nice timing?
Maybe so, but there will be sneak peeks before that, so keep swinging by here from time to time.
Oh...
Have a Wonderful New Years! «

2005-12-28 -- It continues --

So we started recording again.
I found a cool church of the Methodists and have set up the drums to finish our album.
First day we got into the groove and finished 3 songs.
Today we did 5.
I'm dead tired...
Tomorrow we have another 4 and a half.
This Cd is gonna be cool, lemme tell you. Thats not to toot my own horn or anything, it just will be PTL.
Other than that we're still looking for quality bassists, unless they're Giobbe...heh.
But all's well and I'm s psyched it will blow your mind.
I'll post pics soon of our setup.

I tingle. «

2005-12-24 -- Merry Christmas --

The Season’s roll on and Miami’s summer has given way to Orlando’s winter.
So we’re pretty much freezing, although I can’t complain as I generally love cold weather.

Life has been roaring along of course…
I finished the pack down of Miami and we made the switch here…
Then after a day’s reprieve I was off to D.C. fetching new furniture…
It snowed while we were there; it was up to 6 inches,
With about 20 degrees, plus wind, that was cold…
Since then we ripped back and have been getting about our real job of going out every day…
Witnessing…
Also caroling at nights, which has been no end of fun as a couple other guys and I started an all guys team…
We have worn out “white Christmas” and have mutilated “Angels we have heard on high”…
But we do a mad “O holy night” although those Apostle guys have us beat hands down…
Either way its been fun and we’re getting real Christmassy…
Our house is all decorated and our tree is stuffed with loot to pass out…
But most of all, our house brims with cheer and lots of love ;)

Merry Christmas to you all!
And, a Happy New Years, may God bless you and yours…

-From everyone at the poa household, we love you….

2005-11-27 -- farewells... --

My good freind and beloved fellow musician, Tony has heeded the call of the mission field and has left today.
I dropped him off where he will next go North and raise his fare and be gone by the begining of the next year.
Pray for him that he neither freezes or gets snowed out.

His legacy however does not end with his departure..

Before he left we were able to record some of our songs with him and then I recorded him with his other band, 10 Bullet plan.
He sings for them and so this morning on his last day we quickly recorded some back up harmonies... its gonna be good
I stayed up late last night remixing it too.

So ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, while I am pretty sad about him leaving and you might shed tears with us, we now have something to keep him near... His unique and truely amazing voice crying in my headphones and soon your speakers.

Tony, I'll miss you man, but life in this group never is final, so I expect to see you soon and make music again one day when God wills it to be.
I love you man, keep the faith.

2005-11-23 -- Makin Da Musak! --

Master Stephen left an impression after all.
I started on my first production with the killer band: 10 Bullet Plan.
Day 1:
We mapped the track and did 85% of drums.
Day 2:
Finished the drums, laid bass, rythm and lead guitars, and vocals.
Day 3:
Mixed and fixed it up.
We have a rough, but you won't hear till it's a little more touched up, but stick aroundbecause that might not be before too long.
These guys rip it up...
and I'm so jazzed it's not even funny, this has been too much fun, now I realize why Godfrey always looks so happy. «

2005-11-20 -- greetings --

Greetings one and all I am back.
Pardon my having not posted in the last (uuuuum)4 months. I'll go ahead and skip the excuses for my delinquence as im sure you won't believe me. Anyway I noticed that Gabe recently posted about the happenings in music and I will say that we share pretty much the same tastes. I want to agree with Gabe about Peters lead (see Gabes post. Also my good good friends in Brazil put out a cd which I will say is a musical masterpiece and I would like to thank them for putting so much time into it.
Well Gabe and I are on the team that stayed here in Miami to help move as the home is going to be heading up north. Daily we have been working VERY HARD in the yard but thats not when I want to talk about, my main topic is Gabes attire while he works. I have never seen such an eye sore. He sports (daily) a pair of running shoes whilst wearing some oversized hula shorts held up by some suspenders and a T-shirt while his hair is held up in a tight nub. HA amusing, comedy, comical, funny, laughable, mirthful, risible, humourous and everything. Anyway I would point the finger but I looked pretty ridiculous as well.
Anyway I do hope and pray that everyone who might possibly read this will be motivated to take up Gabes fashion tips. Godbless «

2005-11-19 -- this day... --

Time comes and goes and we are all the more involved for it.
As it turns out our lease has ended at our pleasant and vastly reputed "farm" and so we are now in the process/throes of moving.
If anyone reads any of our other fellow living mates' blogs you'll have gotten the idea of it...
But for those who don't and faithfully come here:
We found a new trendy place North of Miami and so the majority of our crew has already departed and me along with several other stout hearted individuals are left once again to clean and close the house.
I'm starting to love this change deal. I started this year with the warning that it would be "the toughest yet" but I had no clue.
It's come from every angle non-stop.
But that's life I guess, and that's the way He wills it for us, so I'm glad.

On the music topic again, I heard this sweet song by the band Free at Eurock. The mans voice has style and strength, I dig it.
Tony and I also aquired Metanoyas self titled album and have been greatly inspired by it. I liked it and they had some amazing ideas plus the quality and style was near flawless.
Peter, in case you see this, I and Tony (I believe I speak for him here) bow before your solo on "blind ears"...
Goes high, goes catchy, goes low and then starts the tapping. King.

So our next place has no internet, looks like it might be either... 1.quieter here, or... 2.my posts will have more substance since I won't be writing on the moment and will have time to think about it a bit, heh... either way pretty much everyone wins.

So until the end of the month, then good bye sunny Miami...
But till then, I've got the house to myself and its beautiful.
Life is beautiful.

2005-11-07 -- Another CD Release! --

I'll tell you what...
some people get all the luck.
And when I say luck I dont really mean luck, I mean they've just got it all going for them...
Talent, skill, good looks and completed CD's, I mean first those pro's in Japan and now it's my great joy and pride to announce another killer album.
The Healing ...
It's Stephen, Gavin and excellent company and they tear it up like total pros.
So it's a good time to be a music lover, or even just listener, with all of this what's next?
Really I won't complain we've got it ok and will have something to put out ourselves before too long.
But then again... there is something with the name Steve, they amaze me, I've been considering a name change...heh
So go on and get their amazing CD!
It will keep you rocking, it did me.
Songs of Special note:
1. "Wrong again"
2. "Spirit trip", cool cool idea...
3. Of course "mr. President"
7. "Under the olive tree"
10. First half of, "Just trust"... amazing song...
And last but not least, in fact I'd go so far as to say my personal fav,
11. "Angelic you"

The bomb, it rocks, so get on over their and get it... «

2005-11-03 -- STEM mania --

This has been one long and crazy week. After Stephen (and most everyone else) took off, we got hammered by a category 3 hurricane... was a lot of fun, so me and a few others held the fort down and have been without power, water, phone etc... for the last 10 days and counting.
Thank God we’ve been pretty OK and cannot complain, we have a generator so have been able to rig up some computers and lights to it, and then the phone came back so now with that we are rigging up makeshift internet access, thus this post.

Other than that I was able to download the Recycled CD , lots of fun, and we’ve been bouncing off our own walls ever since.
I will say though, it brought with it a wave of nostalgia...
Made me remember being 13 to 16 and being consumed by music, listening to (among a lot of others) “dude ranch”, “dookie” and “smash it up”...
In those days I lived and breathed music, it was my life’s soundtrack and even though I didn’t realize or believe it at the time, in hindsight, I realize the music I listened to, affected my psyche and emotions so much, most often for the negative.

I liked the track “Say goodbye” a lot, could have been a page torn from my young life’s book… all of it reminded me of myself, I guess that’s how life is, it goes in circles repeating itself in so many peoples lives teaching each one new and different, but at the same time oh so similar things.
Thing is, for me at least, the music I listened to often reflected what I did in life, when I was a punk I lived that life, got into trouble, drank and smoked, and on and on it went with the other phases I went through, down and down. Thank God we now have more and more great music out now that reflects our lifestyle and goals and will never take you down that sad and pathetic road.

“Red,” was my favorite by far. Theses guys seriously kill, where were they when I was growing up man? Makes me feel old...
Close behind were “Major”, “Marianne”, “Beware of these”… then, “Stand by me”, “Elaina” and “Johnny’s shoes”, I liked the original idea for that one (John Phoenix killed with lyrics, I mean, “Far country”? amazing) but didn’t care for the singing, now it’s been redone with flair, I’m digging it. The bonus track, “Long song for lonely guys” made me smile, they do a mad impersonation.

All in all, I liked the CD a good deal, first-rate quality, catchy riffs and songs, nice genre and good job at sticking to it, excellent job to the guys who worked on it, their talent is amazing, honestly it humbles me.
The future of Family music is so bright it really does blind me... Eurock apparently slayed, these guys also destroyed with this CD, then we have The Metanoya, Fool Moon, R.O.D, us (coming soon), and so many others, it’s great I love it.

So if you haven’t listened and supported your local or far off, budding or accomplished Family musician, go ahead and do so, find the SITE that has their music, download and listen to it, spread it along, and then send them something to help them go further.
And in case you’re young and just beginning your career in music, whether creating it or just listening... have a care to what you listen to, its one of the most beautiful and deep things in the world, let it fill you and make you feel something better and Higher rather than bringing you down and taking away what you could have had.

One way or another, let it take you for a ride...

2005-10-23 -- CD RELEASE!! --

I was going to wait till tomorrow where one and all could make a bee line to downloading the brand new CD put out by Steve and Jesse in Japan...!!!

But with the Hurricane coming, I decided to put the plug in now, basicly to spread the word far and wide so Family young people around the globe could be rocking their heads and waving their fists ASAP.

So one and all check THIS site frequently in the next week for their new CD "Recycled".

And if anyone else has a smidgen of coolness/love for music, spread the word whether by e-mail/blogs/sites/word of mouth...etc... enjoy!! «

2005-10-23 -- Big post tommorow... --

Man... last week was intense...
With the venerable Stephen over, we started work on our first, and as of yet, untitled CD.
First day we laid the drums, bass and some guitar...
Steve is such a pro though... I was getting ready for bed and the man walks into the studio and says... "Lets go over the song a bit"...
I of course think he wants to just listen to it once or twice but no, after we've set ourselves up he lets me in on how he "likes to work late", I of course am down with that what with this being a limited time visit for him, so we end up going till 3:30 and finishing the guitars, throwing vocals, mixing everything a bit and adding and fixing drums and bass.
Was great stuff...
Next day Steve (the pro) decides to beat yesterday’s progress/accomplishments and we do about 16 hours in the studio...
More mixing, fixing, back up vocals, (we did have time to fool around bantering wit with another musically and mentally sharp fellow ;) Pedro)...
We ran through a handful of our other songs to see which of them Steve wanted to hack at... Gethsemane won the vote.
So we did drums, bass and guitar till 2:30 where we finally dropped dead for only an hour and a half where upon we got right back up at 4:30 and drove a couple hours up the road to drop Steve (the 'pro'ducer) off at the airport.
Watch out Cali, here he comes...
(he's gonna kill me for this post, I was suppose to write a disclaimer acknowledging his inabilities and sole strength being a desire to lend a helping hand/make music... but this will have to do, thanks Steve! Your music kills.)

But now hurricane Wilma heads to us, everyone has fled home, so me alone with 4 others stay back to watch and weather the storm... pray for us, it’s gonna be rough.
So in case this place is quite, it’s because of that.
But "if" we keep power/internet, tomorrow is gonna be a big day, I'll post about new music coming out which will be up for download for a limited time ONLY...
So stick around close and spread the word near and far, tomorrow will be Huge...

Till then may I survive the storms and sleep in peace,
free from fear and emptiness,
loss and destruction...
Please Lord, may tomorrow shine a bright and cheery dawn...

2005-10-20 -- Recording --

So its happened at last...
We started officially recording.
The highly esteemed Stephen Buckle has swung by our humble abode and so has proceeded to show me many cool things and helped us begin recording our first track for our future album...
Really we've only done drums and bass and some guitar parts..
We have most of the fun/difficult stuff ahead.
But man I love this family, you meet such cool/talented folks... not to mention all those who are kind and helpful enough to throw in advice and tips, (Thanks!)
So DV we'll continue working on our entire CD and whenever thats done we'll let you all know.
Dont expect it too soon, better to hope for the live recordings coming out soon from ol Wordstock...
Till then, you all take it easy... we'll be hard at work.
Oh, that and we have another hurricane, please pray against it if you think of us... «

This has been one crazy year as far as nature is concerned (well truthfully all around its been nuts as well).
After we had Katrina hit, we had Rita and now Guatemala gets it as well...
Keep them in your prayers, lots good folks down there.
Then earthquakes in the mideast .
It's too much...!?
Does anyone else see the writing on the wall and the signs of the times which we've talked about so long?
I mean one year and this much happening, Someone definitly has a plan and is bringing it to a close.
Thank God...
Either way, hold o nto your hats, theres plenty more in store... can't wait. «

2005-10-04 -- Dear Dr. Phil --

Tim Forsberg— In, response to the Dr. Phil Show on the Family

“I cannot even do the subject justice”. As, the saying goes.
After seeing what you have aired on your show, I don’t even know where to start.
First off, all the allegations, trumped-up, inflated and grossly exaggerated stories, are absurd.

I have a question for China why did she remain in the group for many years after all the alleged abuse happened. She was a happy socialized individual when I knew her and worked with her in Jakarta Indonesia (1999). She knew how to rent a car or go out shopping, back then, and she probably even had a bank account at that time as well, at least her husband John did. We went to visit them in their home in Bali They had a very nice place (Sept. 1999) We had a great time snorkeling, sightseeing and going out to clubs.
She was also the head choreographer for a dance troupe that my band backed up. All the professional, Hip- hop/jazz ballet moves she knew, she learned in the family by having access to outside material. Janette and Michael Jackson’s videos among just a few of the reference material she used. She was very creative and came up with many intricate dance routines for our songs. She learned and added her own style to moves she saw, watching music videos that her counterparts outside the Family were watching at that time. “So Isolated”...What??? We we’re involved in an anti-narcotics campaign at that time (1999) performing awareness concerts in Jakarta and China Played a major role, as I mentioned above as the head Choreographer for the dance team.

“So isolated”...Give me a break. Did you even think to check into the veracity of her irrational statements...Or did you just see the Dollar signs...or ratings skyrocketing?
Another thing, I grew up in Argentina and when I came to the States and was old enough to Open a bank account I didn’t exactly know how the banking system in the States worked so I did what everybody else does and went to the bank to find out how and opened an account.
I believe that john and China along with Jim and the others are hopping to “make bank” with their “sob stories” and “tails of woe”. It seems to me they were lured by the mirage of making an easy dollar.
As for your show Dr. Phil, I am disappointed. Do you really want to help people or are you just in it for the dough? Were you tired of seeing Jerry Springer’s ratings higher than yours?
If you really want to make a difference, why don’t you go to all the areas in the United States where real abuse happens every day? For example, uncles and step-dad’s abusing their sons/daughters nieces/nephews. Be an advocate for P.A.A.I.A.T.P. (People Against Abuse In America’s Trailer Parks.)
Abuse does not happen in the Family today, as was insinuated on your show. If it did, I wouldn’t be raising my Four wonderful children here. It is a Godly, well, socialized environment. I want to protect my children from abuse and there is no better place to do that, than in the Family. Not to mention there are strict Guidelines in place in (the Charter) to make sure nothing ill will happen to my children and to assure that they will be free from abuse.
Are you really interested in making a difference in peoples lives or are you just trying to line your own pockets. How much did your guests make for appearing on your show?
Was it thirty Pieces of Silver?
I ask that you please post this letter so the public can hear that there is another side of the story, the real side, which your show on Oct. 3rd, failed to present.

Sincerely, shaking my head in bewilderment, as I look at all these spilled apples,

-Tim Forsberg

2005-09-21 -- Just as E=MC2, so does Praise=Victory --

That’s right, it’s a spiritual law that just works. Just like electricity works or “Sex Works”...a little off subject...OK...back to praise...I have experienced the effects of praise first hand.
A few months after being diagnosed with type 1, (Insulin dependent) Diabetes, (with my blood sugar levels up in the 400 & 500’s. normal is 70-120)
I was trying to have the right attitude about it and accept it as from the Lord’s hand, but I was still struggling with it. I guess the physical circumstances made it hard for me. Sticking my self with needles 5-6 times a day was getting to me...Until I read the book, on the web, “Prison to Praise” by Merlin Carothers, I started to see how effective sincere, praise offered up to the Lord, even during the most trying times, can be. This book helped me to see and apply praise in my life.
I was very, moved by this book along with all the other word coming out on this topic, during that time and it so infused me with faith to hear of all the miracles that were wrought through praise.
I started to tearfully, praise the Lord for my diabetes and all the other seemingly, bad things and circumstances He had allowed in my life...then some more praise...more tears...and then...a little voice that asked me, “Do you believe this can work for you like it’s worked for those you just read about?”
Me: “Yes”
Little voice: “Do you have the faith that by praising me it unleashed my power to work miracles for you?”
Me: “Yes”
Little voice: “since you have offered me your praise and put your faith in me, go out on a limb and cut it off in the spirit. Put me on the spot and cut your medication”.
Me: “??... OK, I praise you for your ability to work miracles and for allowing me to have diabetes”. “I will praise you for it and for how it’s drawing me closer to you. Even if you never heal me, I accept it from your hand and I will glory in my infirmity, knowing that you are in control and you never allow anything in my life that is not good for me, or that won’t work for my good in some way. Though you slay me, I will still trust you”.

So, I cut my Insulin out completely. That morning was the last time I took it and I feel great, my blood sugar levels have been almost perfect.
The last two months have not been without tests and I few times my blood went up and my faith started to shake, but the little voice would come back and say, “Don’t waver just praise, it’s a test, praise your way out of it.”...It’s really working, all because of praise.
So the moral of the story is, THE LORD MEANS WHAT HE SAYS...He wants us to praise Him.
We just have to be yielded enough and crazy enough to believe HIM and follow.

“For God sake follow God” and “For God sake Praise God”!!!

REVOLUTION...KEEP IT ALIVE!!!

Out. ;)

2005-09-21 -- "No News=Backlog of mostly good News --

Been meaning to get to this for a long time now, but as usual things have been crazy. Thanks to Gabe (I’d link to you buddy if I knew how) you have been nicely informed... I love you Man...The first order of news is that I’m away from sunny Miami for a spell getting my knee worked on or waiting to, anyway... it’ll be awhile till I can play drums again, but the Lord knows I need to focus on other things for now.. And if I continue to delight myself in him and learn to perfect the art of loving him and getting to know Him better during this time, He’ll give me back the desires of my heart and let me drum again. Meanwhile, I’m working on rudiments and lots of Word time, and tending to my fires of R-e-V-o-L-u-T-i-O-n...NICE.
Well, Gabe beat me to the most wonderful news of all...yes, Deb and I had baby # 4 Bryan Corbin James, Born on Sept 10th, the most wonderful little guy...although Deb did most of the real work. I assure you I did my part with all my might. So I say WE had him.
Anyway, enough rambling, He is amazing and a perfect addition to our little family. The Lord is so good to me.
I will end this here before it gets too long and I’ll write on another subject in my next blog, also, very good news...that you won’t want to miss... stay tuned...

2005-09-19 -- Justin case --

So theres a couple of storms brewing off our coast.
I ran around all day, was insane, we were under staffed, over laden, prone to much stress and subject to many problems, and yet, somehow, for some reason...

I had a great day.

I played with rotten vegetables, played some more with the coolest vehicle I've ever driven...
Suprisingly it was a diesel truck, but it runs so easily...
Then I cleaned the yard, prepared for Hurricanes, got generators in place, hid the small trailers in our nursery...
Tanked up on water and got the bigger trailers ready to flee, got the other cars and trucks in place as well and then cleared debris/trash = our lawn decor.
Throw in my word, listening to the king P, prayer and council meetings added up to a full day but with a sense of accomplishment.

If it comes it comes, personally I dont believe in it, I've decided to pull a Leland Valentine if I have to, red pyjays and all, but either way we've done what we could, now we can only trust and believe. I have no doubt in Him.

But in the event the Lord sees fit to do things differently than I would expect, in case I don't write anyone any time soon, its probably because of said storm and not because of my usual delinquency, I always have a good excuse...

So good night and sleep well with the Angels and dream dreams of stars that breathe and men who can fly...

thats what I'm hoping for at least ;) «

2005-09-17 -- errors... and Life --

I noticed I neglected to put my name, "Gabe" as the blogger for the last post.
Its a new glitch we have going. But posting, unless otherwise stated has been from me of late.
In that last post, I was talking about the departure of Gabe Iowa from RoD.
Some people mistook it to be me, looking back it would be pretty funny if that was talking about me.
No sir, I would not presume to fill so great a mans shoes.
In other news we've been hustling around because 4 of our faithful compadres took off for the ever venerable and revered state of Texas.
Not to help said state, but to help those in real need.
The Family has already been doing a ton there, and I know those involved are giving quite literally their all for those people.
So its left the house a shade quieter without a our fearsome foursome... my cliches digress.
But on an upswing, we had the birth of a new citizen, well "we" nor "I" had him, but the wonderful Deb did. Shes a real trooper.
Bryan corbin James, try that on for size, I believe it was Sept 13th.
Either way its been fun around here.
Well before this gets any weaker I'll wrap it up.
Keep Tony, Andrew, Jon, Chris and little Bryan in your prayers, much appreciated. «

2005-09-13 -- R.O.D. does it again --

So After going ahead and beginning postings from Chris, Justin and Sam, we get the departure of Gabe.
That guy was amazing, I still harbor the opinion that wherever he heads he should still write or post his hardcore classes. I'm still reliving them in my dreams, great stuff!
But the best nugget of all, they have songs up for download.
Bear in mind these songs KILLED twice live.
Keep it coming guys.

2005-09-06 -- Plan of Attack info --

So the tide has gone down, and I finally have a moment to write this epic.
Perhaps not quite epic, but hopefully at least amusing, in other words if you don't have a good 15 minutes min then you might want to return at some other time when you do... heh

So first off: My computer starts having problems, and then lightning blows my internet out.
Then, a storm with wind that ripped trees out of our yard and sent lightning that looked like this and left us sitting around like so stole drinking water but not to this extent So it hits Miami and left us without power, water, phones and filled the surrounding country side with water.
For a while I thought our real estate might increase since we had moved to "on the lake" property", but humor aside, we thought we had it bad until it hit New Orleans...
We were blessed and very fortunate.

So now everyone’s back, things are being fixed here and so it looks like we might head out to Texas to lend a hand
So we'll see.

Other than that, we went witnessing the other day at the MTV music awards which were hosted here in Miami. We got hundreds of tracts out, won a stash of souls, and fought (debated) it out with some very narrow minded and ornery church folk.

Then as I mentioned last time around we got some recording equipment, but none of us are what you would even generally refer to as "producers" or anything really, so in case there’s any swell folk who are also very technically/musically minded, who read this here blog, drop us a line if you have any advice, or would have any knowledge and experience using any of the stuff we have.
I'll list it here:
Sonar 4
Aardvark Direct Pro Q10
midi keyboard
Mackie mixer
We didn’t have to pay a dime for any of this because my swell brother in law lent it all for a spell. So if any one has any help or wants to swap gear lore, my e-mail is: gabe@planofattackband.com

In other news, Eurock is looking a little iffy now with all that’s been happening, also I'm sure Tim would appreciate any and all prayers shot up for him as he is having surgery soon for his knee .

Time for me has been non-existent as well lately since for some crazy reason I got kicked down a new job
No doubt just what I need to cement my suspicions that I'm a helpless wreck, poor people…heh

Finally, I've noticed that the ever amazing band Rebellion of David has been having a little activity of late. You guys are heroes in my book...heroes!

So I’ll now wrap this up and hope you all enjoyed this tirade. Hope my code works ;)

2005-09-01 -- Plan my attack --

I was going to post this lengthy and very interactive tirade...
But it will have to wait.
Suffice it to say, things have been nutty around here, and we only got power/water/phone/internet yestreday.
Till tommorow then! «

2005-08-23 -- Stuff --

Its funny how things go in life, when it rains it pours.

First off, we recently had a new addition/recruit to the place, in the form of another Californian coming out to this little corner of "heaven on earth" that we've carved out of the Everglades/heat of Miami and it's been a whole shade brighter around for it.

Then out of nowhere, my good brother in law calls up and pops by for a visit.
What do you know but after I show him our studio he inquires about what equipment we use to record, whereupon I reply: "nothing, yet."
Well he then promptly offers to lend me not only his sound card and break out box, but a midi keyboard, a Mackie mixer and a host of programs from Sonar to Cakewalk...ect
Of course we're all elated, only problem is we've got to learn how to use this stuff.
And then there’s still the small problem of my wretched (beloved) computer needing a tune up/reincarnation.
But not to worry, the excitement and gratefulness I’ve felt hasn’t died yet so things are looking bright and cheery, made it easy to be praiseful.

So till the next down pour, we’ll be studiously working at recording some music for all those who like our music/just want to rock... hurray!

2005-08-13 -- Back for more --

I just got back from being on the road for the week. Was pretty cool, we went over to West Palm beach, went pretty good, all I can say is my Boss is the best. We lacked nothing and then some, I put on weight I think, got too used to soaking for hours in the pool/jacuzzi... But I did aquire more tan as it got hot out and was glad that it ended when it did, because although bittersweet, the end had to come. Oh well, we'll do it again next week.

Stick around, we've got news and changes around the bend. «

Good news,
We just got some more of the ReVoWear shirts in (including 3 new ones) and I put them up on the webstore so all you faithful drop-outs can have access to the good stuff.

The store design has changed a bit (we got models) but the shirts are still the same Hi-quality pieces of graphic indulgence that you have seen from ReVoWear in the past.

So head on over and Enjoy. «

2005-07-31 -- News, Change, Link --

In that order..

Ok.. So news first, well looks like theres going to be a European version of Wordstock..
Looks like we've also been invited on over, and after a confirmation from our Boss, looks like we'll be heading over yonder.
Course we have no idea how we're going to go about doing that except for the word: "Faith".
So if theres any wealthy persons (ok, so even if you're not wealthy) who might see this post and feel like helping us out a touch so that we in turn can do our job of inspiring other young people about what we do or even just giving them some music to jump around to and get out of themselves, then PLEASE drop us a line and we'll be ever so grateful for any help no matter how small or big...

So Change: Well, I thought it was going to be a notice for tony's departure which "nearly" happened as he was on his way off to Mexico, but as it turns out, the Lord had other plans and so now he stays and joins us again.
So instead Change has been hitting us all full on, but fortunately we've "let Change look us in the face and pin point the problems case by case..." so we're getting the hang of the whole deal..
Well not totally... yet..

Last but not least... "The" link:
As many, or if not all should know, my favorite band is R.O.D. Good God those guys can rock!
I had planned on posting a new song of theirs I got, but that will have to wait as i've just stumbled across their new site adress which I found at a right gentlemens site...
What are the chances?
And I had thought I would have to make my own fan club site..

So to all the other devotees.. enjoy!
And for the rest of you..Think about us and send us your piggy banks... «

2005-07-11 -- Thoughts on revolution --

Tim is usually the one that posts things he reads and is moved by, but I was reading today as I do every day and this caught my eye..

“True revolutionaries for Jesus dream the dreams that the World says are impossible, but they see them come to pass & materialize before their very eyes, because "With God, all things are possible!" (Mat.19:26)”

It made me think on what a revolutionary is all about, we talk a lot about revolution here, but it’s more than just a word or a word used to spark an emotion, it goes deeper.
I read on with this which put into words more precisely what I felt revolution is all about…

“THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN OUR LIFE FOR JESUS IS NOT SACRIFICE, ALTHOUGH WE'LL BE HAPPY TO SACRIFICE IF NECESSARY.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS ARE LOVE FOR HIM & OTHERS, resulting in our obedience, submission, yielded ness & a willing spirit.

If we have these, we will be a true revolutionary for Jesus. We won't have to worry about sacrificing, because sacrifice will just come as a matter of course in our life for Him, & when we are called upon to sacrifice we'll do it because we love Him.

If we're willing, yielded & obedient we'll be good soldiers who aren't going to be entangled with the things of this World or dragged down by them, neither with material wealth nor the personal weights of our own selfish desires & attitudes. (Gal.5:1; 1Jn.2:15)

OUR GOAL IS TO BE TRUE REVOLUTIONARIES FOR JESUS, 100% DEDICATED TO HIS CAUSE of exposing & destroying evil & bringing in God's Kingdom right here & now.

If we're willing & yielded, submitted to Him & obedient, all the other qualities & qualifications of a revolutionary will follow:

We'll be looking for a City Whose Builder & Maker is God.
We won't be tied down to this World.

We'll be willing to fight & die for Him because this World & what it has here, even the attractions & the comfort of the physical flesh & its comfortable selfish attitudes, will no longer appeal to us.
Our hearts will be 100% dedicated to the Lord & our treasure will be in Heaven. (Heb.11:10)”

Pretty deep stuff I thought, high ideals to strive and aspire for.
It becomes clearer every day, so much rests on choice and decisions in life, but when you decide to follow something you believe and have seen is bigger and better than anything else, the fire begins to burn inside until it’s a raging blaze which has to speak out against that which it feels is wrong or corrupt, that’s the system we live in and the religious system that has duped so many either into lethargy or into falling away from the Faith because of false pretenses.

This Revolution for a real and living God has not ended and burns still within us..

2005-06-26 -- new song --

After Gabe Iowa's class on the "Sanctity of Life" at wordstock '05 I felt inspired to write a song on an anti-abortion theme. Seeing that I'm not really a songwriter/lyricist I told the Lord that if He wanted to give me a song about this it would have to be all His doing. Then It happened.. two weeks ago I was on my way back from a trip and I fell asleep in the car (No I wasn't driving) I saw a music video in my sleep with the word pictures played out, It was amaizing! I woke up only able to retain the title and a few soundbytes, but the general idea and music video/vision stayed with me. 5 days later I sat down for some prayer time and asked the Lord to give me the whole song. In a few minutes I had the whole thing. I'm very inspired about this whole spiritual experience and am so thankful I was able to get "in tune" enough to recieve this song. It's supposed to be very Heavy musicaly with a lot of intense singing/yelling
Anyway, Here it is.

"Endangered Species"

Deed done, accidental or planned
Here I am
A life inside a life
I am a miracle

Flesh and blood surround me
Filtering the outside world
Soft glow & crimson hue
My life’s begun
I am a miracle

Piercing the stillness
Why do I feel worthless?
Sweet fluids turn to wormwood
Bitterness whispers
You don’t want me
Don’t you know?
I’m a miracle

(Chorus 1)
Cold steel tearing at me

IAM ALIVE
Don’t try to KILL me
IAM ALIVE
Don’t try to SPILL me
For playing God, you’re accountable
Doesn’t everyone need a miracle?

If down the road, you needed me
You’d call
I was not there
Your heart would feel wrong you ended me
My blood would always stain you there

(Refrain)
What if I were Edison?
What if I were Mr. Bell?
Or what if I was Jesus?
You’d be going straight to hell

IAM ALIVE
Don’t try to KILL me
IAM ALIVE
Don’t try to SPILL me
For playing God, you’re accountable
Doesn’t everyone need a miracle?

Everything’s Still.

(Chorus 2)
IAM ALIVE
I guess you heard me
IAM ALIVE
My cry has changed your will

You’ll see my smile
And You’ll know that I’m
Your miracle

2005-06-23 -- Good Read --

Some Tasty stuff I came accros today...
ENJOY!
(Jesus). If you're ashamed and embarrassed because of the kind of things that I pour out to you that make you so different and special, you'll end up being just like I said about the salt that had lost its savor (Mat.5:13). You don't want that to be said about you, do you? Stay hot! Stay radical! Stay sold out, dropped out! Stay special!
The Enemy's goal is to make you want to be like the world, to be like everyone else. He wants to turn you from an on-fire, revolutionary disciple, to a Joe Blow mainstream personality. He doesn't want you to buck the tide or like being different. He wants you to be ashamed of being different, of standing out from the crowd. But don't allow him to intimidate you. Bounce back with confidence, and show him--and the world--through your words and deeds, that you are privileged to be counted as one of My disciples. You may not be "normal" in the mainstream sense of the word, but you love it, and you're proud of it!

I LOVE IT..

2005-06-21 -- The Metanoya gets a metanoia --

I was just down the way and saw that The Metanoya has under gone some snazzy site changes.
It also looks like they're gearing up for a new Cd, good stuff..!
I've also made a deal with our site designer Jer, he says he'll build us a new one as soon as we record an album, so with my new found optimism I've decided to "get on that" immediatly.
So if anyone knows any good producers, drop us a line, we'll give him the guest house for his stay..? ;)

In other news we had another amazing visitor, this time from sunny California who not only radiates beauty but sleek class as well.
And to all the other Californian ladies: we don't mean to snatch your girls, they just keep dropping out of a dry blue sky. Comfort yourselves this one will be returned to you in good shape. We took her for "death by chocolate" last evening which is self described by the name, very full of chocolate.
Basicly it's chocolate ice cream, hard chocolate casing, and crushed Oreo bottom.
I think I took in too much sugar. Well this post has been a look on more of our human side.
"Enjoy yourselves, it's later than you think.." heh
It's going to be a good week.. «

2005-06-17 -- Revolution &Fun on the farm --

This week has been funner than usual in that we have had some exciting events.
Well first we had some wonderful visitors from China. Wonderful missionaries they were who not only told us riveting tales of this eastern country, but also sang songs that kept us all singing and or humming bits and pieces for the next days.
Then as most people know we have been building most of our house, and had only recently finished the electricity and had gotten that squared away.
But Wednesday morning the power cut and when we investigated, behold.. The meter had blown and melted to mere smithereens.
It was at first glance a bit disparaging.. but resourceful folk that we are, we got to work and had an electrician come and diagnose the situation, the result was that we had to wait till the morning to get it worked on.
So without electricity, water, gas, air conditioning (did I mention it gets hot here in Miami?), light and anything battery powered, we roughed it for the night and bathed from a bucket and cooked on camp stoves.
Next day our trusty (?) electrician returned and fixed our lines, the power company came and without further ado gave us a brand spanking new meter which brought back power, light, water and easy life.
So all in all it wasn’t too bad and we got an excellent reason to be thankful for all the times and ways it's been worse.
Boy did we have a fun sense of camaraderie around here for those days.. Least wise I thought so.. heh..
I was still able to go out witnessing both days and drive our air conditioned cars which was a constant reminder of something to be thankful for.
Now I'm back in the studio, Andrew is practicing drums, one of these days.. he's gonna be good.. I'm feeling good.
Oh, and for those of you who are with me in this last revolt against the religious system and it’s corrupt ways.. check this link out. Long live that revolution!

I almost completely forgot, but my good friends and teenage buddies, Dan and James have started a band over in Romania, where they live and work as missionaries.
Great guys and now they are churning out some killer music.
Please feel free to check them out as they are not only cool guys, but doing an even better thing. They’ve got pics, downloads and tons extra. It’s still in the beginning stages so make allowances, but I’m so happy for them and hope to hear much more from them.
Enjoy you all, and rock on guys!

2005-06-10 -- everything changes --

change is still in the air..
I'm not quite sure how all things will work out.
seems each day is a new set of hurdles and or mountains to be climbed.
but the good news is, with all this practice at it, I think I'm going to get the hang of it sooner or later..heh..
but till then the wind blows and the rain falls, the flowers bloom and the birds fly..
those things never seem to change.. nature gets it easy at times.. ;)
stick around.. we'll have ground breaking news soon.. or at least the next big thing to that. either way, I'm trusting..

2005-06-01 -- more music --

Monday was area get together. so our house filled up on top of already being full.
must have been a hundred people.. rain threatened and sprinkled a bit. But dinner was amazing, the volley ball games afterward were great fun, and finally we decided to set up.
Actually I was pretty reluctant seeing as I'm a spoil sport, but thanks to Tim and Andrew it happened and we played.
Good fun and it felt good, to me at least. then afterwards Andrew and I jammed again, fun fun fun! we were fooling around with all sorts of different, progressive stuff.
A bit rusty but fun.
Anyway those are the highlights but all in all, it was a great day and it was great hanging out with all the awesome people who showed. «

2005-05-28 -- music --

Tonight for the first time since word-stock, I plugged in my amp and jammed with Andrew (Tim’s bro).
Fun stuff. It was good to tune back up and do our thing, playing music is a beautiful and wonderful thing. I can't use enough adjectives.
Monday we will set up and play for the area get together. And in related news, we are looking into playing at different places soon, so i'll keep that posted as it happens.
Life has been so interesting of late, twists and turns, changes and decisions. Fate is such a strange thing, believing that everything is fore ordained or pre-planned is a deep thought, but then again, little children believe almost blindly what their parents tell them.
I guess what I’m trying to philosophy is: even though life seems rough at times and I struggle to continue, my greater Parent watches and plans everything for me for my own good, whether good or bad, whether I understand it or not, He is in control and knows it’s for my good, so shouldn’t I trust Him?
Yes I believe I will.. I will surely try my best! Have fun thinking..heh. «

2005-05-27 -- Morning Prayer --

For awhile now I've been using the TJWL book when I get up in the morning as part of my praise and prayer routine. here's my new favorite. It's my new morning prayer..

(TJWLvo1)
I want to go all the way for You, Jesus. I want to burst out and really do something for You. I want to change the world with Your Love. I want to be radical and different and wild and crazy for You. I love being Your crazy crusader and a far-out nut for You. I think we're the coolest thing around, because we have a real cause that we're fighting for. It's worth giving everything for, and that's why I like it.
I love You, Jesus! Thank You for giving me all this to live for, to fight for and to die for. I want to burn up for You every day! I want to give my all to You, one hundred percent of my heart and life. I'm sold out to You, and all I want to do is live every ounce of my life in service to You, to spread the crazy, radical message of Your Love and freedom to the whole world!

...Hope I live up to it!
REVOLUTION!

2005-05-25 -- Still alive... and kicking --

There was a Greek soldier in Alexander the Great's army, who was always found in the heat of the battle. Where the toughest fighting went on he was there fighting fiercely and giving his all. The reason for his bravery was this...He had nothing to lose.
He had a terminal illness that threatened to take his life at any moment, so he fought like a mad man...again, he had nothing to lose.
His general inquired as to where his bravery came from as he was so impressed with his performance. When he found out about his illness the general personally paid for the best doctors of their time to have his soldier cured.
But after he was cured he no longer fought with such abandon... you see, now he HAD something to lose... His life.
One no longer saw him in the heat of the battle, but rather in the back protecting himself. It's kind of a sad story, but the reason I re-told it here is this.. As most of you know, I just found out that I have diabetes (insulin dependent) at first I had a hard time accepting it as from the Lord's hand and even praise him for what He's doing in my life, through it. So the lord reminded me of this story and related it to me like this. As a soldier in the Lord’s army He wants me to hold nothing back, not even my own life.
Whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever will lose his life for my name sake; the same the same shall save it. (Matt. 16:24-26)
The Lord has taken away my physical strength and given me no other option than to rely on him. Now I have a potentially life threatening illness handed down from the Lord’s loving hand (I truly believe this) And I NOW HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE, so I will be the soldier He wants me to be, fighting bravely with abandon and NOTHING TO LOSE.
So look out Devil I’m going to be right there in the thick of the battle fighting like a mad man with all the new weapons of the spirit at my disposal...Tremble ye enemy here I come.

“ A man or woman who gives everything has no regrets at the end of life. They'll know that they did everything they could, fought as hard as they could, and My grace will have seen them through any obstacles they faced for as long as they faced them.”(quote from: Jesus: AoW2)

I’ll end here with a quote from Job, which has been part of my regular praise routine lately “though He slay me yet will I trust him”
So I’m still alive and Kicking, but still keep me in your prayers; it’s still a fight.. If it was easy it wouldn’t be called a fight.

Love you all.
STAY TRUE TO THE REVOLUTION!!

2005-05-21 -- Appreciation --

I’ve been meaning to blog and say a bit about some great individuals and show my appreciation for them.
First though, both while at wordstock and since I’ve heard it from just about everyone regarding my position as "clean up crew", everyone seemed to find it highly amusing that I might have to clean toilets, even though I assured each one that wasn’t part of my job description, but all the same people laughed.
What they don’t know is that heading said "clean up crew" was a wonderful woman named Mary who not only tirelessly worked but also took up my slack when i was gone for "band stuff" which was often.
So this is a shout out of appreciation to Mary for not just being a great task mistress but also a great and fun to be around person.. Hear hear!!
But in case anyone wonders, i did have to work.. lots of floor sweeping, oh yea! :)
And while I’m at it, BIG thanks to Dan who not only did an excellent job mixing at wordstock, but also very kindly hosts our site.
Dan in case you see this, huge thanks! Sorry I didn’t thank you at the stock, heh, (oh and mix my guitar louder on S.O.E's set, I saw a video, cant hear myself ;) )
Anyway all that to say, I have a lot of things to be thankful for, namely all the great people I know and continue to know. Life is awesome!

2005-05-17 -- glad tidings --

Im so psyched.. today i read some amazing stuff which inspired me to no end, basicly it stressed the lesson of giving all of ones self and yielding to the Lord which when done, He can in turn make something out of nothing.
If theres one thing I know, its that Im nothing in myself. but with Him im able to crawl out of the things that hold me back and briefly shine.
After that i finished getting my computer running, that also psyched me. its running like a dream.
Ive been listening to "at all costs" .. these guys rock to no end! my hat is off to you Sealed guys! rock on.. «

For all those who pray, please pray for tim, as it seems he might have type 1 diabetes.
He's been feeling under the weather and had to go for a late night check up. So just remember him in your prayers.
As for music, it seems we might have alot ahead, plans running through our minds, we just have to see how it all works out.

2005-05-14 -- Life goes on --

So Ive finally got a second to sit down and write up a brief rundown of our stay at Wordstock II..
First, thanks to all who worked at it to make it what it was, a TOTAL SUCCESS!!
As for me, Im wiped out, 6 nights of great music. Man there were some amazingly cool bands there.
7th Arena, they had such an original sound, unlike anything Ive heard, so cool! i hope they continue to rock.
The Sealed ruled!!! John, Jonny and Vas, you guys rock!! I bought the cd and listened to it non-stop on the ride home and again today! You guys live what you sing about, im so impressed.
R.O.D.... what more can be said..? These guys were not only as tight as a cork in a bottle, but they could rock it! Awesome..
Next up: Loophole. one word describes them. Professionals. And theyre great to hang out with too..
Seriously everyone was awesome and rocked. those are just my personal tops, but it was great fun getting up there and rocking it.
We had 2 Plan of Attack sets and one with Salt of Earth which is a new project we did at the last minute with us 3 plus Justin, Marky and Andrew.
I hope our message and point was heard.
We dont just play music for the fun of it, but most important, to spread a fire and passion for something and Someone far greater than anything else, Jesus.
Only with Him were we able to do anything because we got hit with probably every technical difficulty you can think of.
But now we're home and the future looks bright.
Whats in store is the thought on all our minds.
A couple things for certain: change, progress and all our dreams being achieved. thats the hope of glory we have.. Rules! I cant wait. «

2005-04-30 -- The Stock --

So its here at last...
The Stock..!
Its been a whirlwind of activity around here, so much planning and prep has gone into this its amazing we're even pulling out early tomorrow.
It hasnt been without miracles either, with no resources or budget at the last couple days, we had to get desperate..
but it all worked out by faith so tonight we're packing.
We had a last mintue setup last night and ran through our new stuff. Its going to have to be a miracle, I mean only Jesus, which it always is, now I guess its just more apparent because its in our face.
So for the next week and a half, this place will be quiet.. but not to worry, immediatly afterwards, we will have a vast amount of new stuff.. so stick around. keep us in your prayers.. God bless!

Bad news: the engineer at the studio had some problems and could not make it in.
so we are post poning the recording process until we get back from wordstock.
So if youre going to that event, WE WONT HAVE CD'S..
On the upswing we do have some cool shirts and such.
For those who pray, pray (or send us a check)for us to meet our financial budget, as right now it looks semi-impossible.. but with God all things are possible, so..
See you there! «

2005-04-24 -- Dlinquent blogging --

Yep, That's me. I don't have anything to say for my lack of contributions to the Blog other than I've been a single Dad for 9 days.(Deb was away on a trip, Sob!!)
I have come to the conclusion that Females (once they become mothers) have a time/released mechanism to help them deal with lack of, or interrupted sleep.
All that to say, I don't do well without rest and it's a total miracle that we (the Kids & I) survived those very long nine days and nights without icident or severe emtional breakdown Ha!.:)
I'm thankful for you baby (she's looking over my shoulder as I type)
Seriuosly though even if she wasn't I'd still say it.
So here's to SUPER-WOMAN! :)

To close Here's something that I read today And thought it to be totally true.

Everywhere you look there's darkness, and that darkness affects you. The world has become ugly, ungodly and evil--the no–absolutes, anything-goes, prayerless, godless education system; the warmongering, money-loving‚ corrupt governments; the violent, perverted entertainment industry; the compromised, worldly, lost religious system.
The System is controlled by the Enemy now. And we all live smack-dab in the middle of it. It doesn't take much to deduce that we have to fight harder and have a lot more conviction and determination to be IN the world but not PART of it. Everywhere you turn, the sirens of the System are crying out. The pull is REAL. The Devil controls the world systems, and he wants to control YOU. The only thing that will keep you from his influence, corruption, lies, doubts, and eventual ruin is the WORD! And since his influence is stronger than in times past, you must be stronger too, in the Word! The strength to fight the influence of the Devil's SYSTEM and the pull of the world is only found in the WORD!

Only the Word will keep you. READING, ABSORBING, and APPLYING the fresh, new Word is what makes everything else in your life for the Lord possible and fruitful. So in that sense, it is literally the most important thing you have to do.

So there's the secret to remaining REVOLUTIONARY!!

2005-04-19 -- Plan of Attack band --

Well its getting down to the wire..
Only a couple weeks left to go, we've had more practice, writing songs, last minute add ons and changes..
Its getting hectic yet fun, except for the lack of sleep as thats our prime and only time to practice.. late at night.
God Bless each of the ones who put up with us in our home as we no doubt keep them up or at least rock them to sleep..(note the pun,ha!)but seriously its been busy.
On a similar note, marky has come today to play some songs with Justin and us.
I had posted we might have a secret guest as well.. As it turns out, its not going to work out after all, although i think everyone already knew anyway..
Too bad, I was looking forward to playing with that swell chap, maybe next year!
*if you have no idea what Im talking about, Gavin lives in Brasil and does Music too, as well as being a fellow Missionary, and he was going to fly up here and we were going to back him as a band for the Festivals, but he had problems with visas.*
I just finished typying up our old and new songs, editing and tweaking them. We have between 5 and 6 new songs since last year..
Well Im off to tweak more songs.. Ill keep things updated.. GB!! «

2005-04-15 -- Its cool to like Plan of attack --

Today I heard that there are those who secretly read our blog.. in itself this is a good thing, but some felt bad..
If youre one of these, cheer up, its cool to like us! ;)
At the same time remember we are human so its never perfect.
Well today we had practice (actually we practiced last night too) for the first time in a week.
Two words describe it.. Grueling and Progress.
Looks like its gonna be good next time we play. By the way, we are planning on going to a studio to record, but Pray that it works out as one of the sound engineers is missing.
Other than that I read this cool article in the news today...
Talk about motivation and a positive attitude to keep going in the face of catastrophic events and simply smile and be grateful to continue on to the next battle.. «

2005-04-13 -- Plan of Attack band --

Big news folks.. big news..
Mom and Pop Raveney came by the site the other day.
They dont get a chance to do that too often as they live in Mendoza Argentina doing Missionary work.
But the other day was a special day and they visited.. they said they liked it!!
On another subject, someone called me the other day and asked me straight out what God had told me today, (This coming from someone very close to me).
At first I was thrown off but quickly gave him my answer..
God had talked to me that day as He does most every day that I take the time to stop, pray and listen to Him.
It so happened that He had reminded me of the verse in John 13, where Jesus said: "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another" and through that he was reminding me to be more loving, kind and Christlike, which means (among many other things) being humble and lifting others up.
So I repeated all that..
Boy did it make me feel good that i had taken the time that day for the One who made me.
But Ive been pondering that thought.. Love. Jesus wanted us to love others, that was our sample to others.
What is love though? John also said, God is love, and thats the simple Truth, to be loving we must be more like God who came to earth in the form of Jesus.. He lived, served and died for man.
All He asks is for us "to love God.. and our neighbor as ourselves".
Pretty cool stuff.. i feel ashamed for all the times I fail.
But heres a sweet thing I found that expounds on Love .. «

2005-04-09 -- How stuff works --

Today has come and gone like many other days before.
However today was not just any old day...
Not only did Prince Charles get married (Congrats to him, we're all about marriage around here)
But residents in Iraq are not pleased about being occupied.
But thats not even the real news, these things come and go, mere earthly trifles, the real news is:
120+ souls won today by our ever faithful/eager crew for the Kingdom of God..
Pricless treasures which will never fade, tarnish or lose value. Boy were we psyched!!!
And if for some reason you have no idea what Im talking about or do not know this treasure of which i speak of..
Try it for yourself.. its this simple.
Heres to the ever increasing fold of the Greatest Shepherd of them all...Jesus!!

So, without futher ado!

"Real revolution is not simply the overthrowing of one system & the establishing of another system! All things change, but they don't change once & for all! They have to KEEP CHANGING every minute with something new or it's going to come to a stop & get nowhere & be dead still!"--D.B.B.

As a add on to what I said earlier about the Pope..
I found these two posts which I thought pretty much summed up, about this dear man, what I would have wanted to say, but didnt know how to.
This first one is a little more in depth.
But this second one has a nice sound bite.
Both are taken from Blogs run by two spectacular men, who I dont know personally, but from reading their posts from time to time I have some great stuff.
Anyway.. I hope some find it interesting and even up lifting. «

So Ive decided to be more faithful in blogging..
Tony and I discussed how we've got to put at least something once a day.

I've posted before about music (scroll down to: 2005-03-01 -- one more.. --) but lately ive had a craze for music put out by some guys in Japan, Stem by name.
Check the Holy nite, Double speak and Marianne in the "music" section, in the "rock and punk projects".
All of them are great!!
In other news today since it was me free day I messed around in the studio for a good solid 3 or so hours and am close to finishing four more songs..
watch out next crowd we face.
Also last nite Tony and I jammed another song with justin who will be doing a set of his own at WS.
Well thats all for now folks!... «

2005-04-04 -- news and thoughts --

So the world continues to move and change.
Hot on the headlines is the recent passing of Pope John Paul II. I'm not a Catholic, but I still feel that the world has just received a blow in that here was a good man, who although no doubt imperfect, still tried and did his best to do right and spread the message of the love of Christ.
Then there’s the Terri Schiavo death, which has been an intense ordeal. The other day I was out witnessing, some guy stopped and yelled at me because he was upset at the Churches and Christians. He felt they did nothing nor tried to resist this act (of her feeding tube being pulled) which he felt was not only un Godly, but also criminal.
I replied that as a Christian, I do indeed value life, but there wasn’t much to be said to him.
It did make me think about how if someone can decide and judge that someone else’s life isn’t necessary or that its better they not be alive, what would happen if say things progressed to the point that say the law banned Christianity? Would my life become so fragile and un-needed?
My point is that, how can one person decide to end the life of another because they are inconvenient? Could this be a sign of the end?
As the Bible says: 2 Timothy 3:1-9 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
It’s something to think about, but how many people actually want to think about these things?

2005-03-31 -- Silence --

HI everyone. I noticed that Tim is usually the one who posts cool quotes so I think I'll try and match his. I dont know if everyone knows this but I have a problem with speaking when Im not spoken THROUGH so I think I'll post some quotes on the mouth..

He that hath knowledge spareth his words. Even a fool when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding
I have often regretted my murmurs, seldom my silence.
Learning to speak in two or more languages is not nearly as hard as learning to keep your mouth shut in one.
. It is better to be silent and be considered a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

Some food for thought I came across today...

"Take your stand! If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything."
"If the Devil can't get you to stop, he tries to get you to compromise. He tempts you with half-truths that make you doubt your convictions or not live up to them fully. He knows you'll never make peace with him in your war on evil, so he tries to tempt you with a temporary truce."...

2005-03-21 -- aye aye aye --

Greetings one and all. I just wanted to post something cause I think it is my duty to do so every once in awhile. Yesterday I spent nearly 5 hours making bass traps. Its kind of hard to describe how to make them but the main idea of them is to obliterate bass. Yeah your thinking why is the bassist making bass traps to erase his existence? Well I finished making them and so far have not been to impressed
with them. I have had the lows on my amp turned way up and the highs way down but I cant seem to find the sound I desire. Anyway the moral of my story is all things work together for you good because Tim and Gabe say it sounds amazing. I am a little disgruntled but they are happy so thats cool. And we finally got a good practice day in which aside from the absence of bass was pretty good. Syonara GBY «

I came accross this quote today. Thought it was great.

"You've got to recognize compromise as the destructive device of the
Enemy that it is! I don't care what your reasons are for wanting to
compromise—whether for gain, for approval??? to please man, to make others think
well of you, for power, for riches, for pleasure, or because you're lazy and
can't be bothered upholding the standard. Compromise is never an option!"

2005-03-15 -- Jeremy Spencer & Korn --

As a follow up to my last post (about "head" from Korn becoming a Christian)..
I thought about another old time hipster who had a similar tale, that was one Jeremy Spencer formerly of Fleetwood Mac.
His story is similar in that he too was in a big band that at the time was taking off.. (korn might have passed the taking off stage) but after being disallusioned with the life he led and being driven to a point of decision he left his band to serve God as a missionary.
Since then his life has no doubt taken many turns. but thats beyond my knowledge except that I know he still does music and concerts for good causes.
Anyway i checked out Heads site today. has a cool section for people who want to post their testimonies, basicly telling their story of how they came to find God, which is cool. However i wonder if theres not something more or better in store for that guy..
Well for the record: if Brian Welch ever finds this site.. however unlikely, feel free to drop us a line, We've got something for you! ;)
Last thing.. which is on another totally different subject:
WE'RE GOING TO WORDSTOCK! So for any of the boys and girls who read this and might go to that.. hope you're prepared, its gonna rule!
we need to practice...aarrgh... ;) «

2005-03-01 -- one more.. --

Because of personal choice and reasons, I personally dont listen to any secular music and or bands of pretty much any kind.
Having said that, I have to say I havent always thought this way, but after realising the down sides and the drain of most music plus the message it promotes, which is pointless, Ive given it up.
Someone recently told me though about the guitarist for the band Korn leaving the group to dedicate his life to Jesus.
For anyone whos listened to that band (we've had our share) you'll realise why some people (like myself) have given up most music, but that also inspired me in the sense that it shows how far the Truth goes, and at some point there is a decision everyone must make: to choose right or wrong, evil or good.
But isnt that the Christians creed? to choose to give his life so he might gain it? to choose to love so he too might be loved? to choose to become a fool in the eyes of man so that he can become something more in the sight of God?
Truely, everyone must choose a side, there can be no neutrals. So while one more person has joined the cause of love, hope and Truth, how much further will he go? And more importantly, how about the millions, maybe billions who havent seen any hope? How much have I done today to help/save/or lift somone up, is a question we should all ask ourselves.
I'll end by posting a coment made by "head":
"I'm gonna change the world or die trying."
"This is the book of life right here," (pulling a Bible from his back pocket.) "It's not about religion, it's not about this church, it's not about me. It's about the book of life and everybody needs to be taught this. It's crazy, it's gonna do stuff like this, like change a guy in a rock band."
Brian "Head" Welch, who announced his departure from Korn last week. «

Hi one and all. Today was my free day and so I took advantage
of the time and did some practicing. I have never tried playing with a pick before because I am left handed and I play right handed as it is so I didnt think I would be able to have the coordination to play with a pick, but after about 2 hours of pick practice and an aching arm I believe I have the hang of it. I will be playing "Fallen Captive" and "This Is War" with a pick from now on so keep an eye out for that. GBY

Tony just posted about the new video, but i'll add a disclaimer if your comp isnt too good..
the video is a pretty slow and choppy and the audio doesnt match up if u have a slow computer.
also it was filmed on a hand cam up close to the stage, so being that all the house speakers were all above or at the persons mid level, u cant hear everything too clearly.
But i think we're in the process of putting a new and better one..
so till then.. enjoy!!

We jammed night before last And it rocked, in my opinion. We played it all funk, blues, funky blues, reggae, funky reggae,as well as the usual heavy mad at the system, raging, revolutionary, headbanging, loud, inspired, to the point, stuff.
All in all it was really fun.

We're getting ready for a planned attack, to snatch more crystals from the from the darkness and turn them toward the light.

2005-02-18 -- practice! --

We finally had our first practice/jam since a couple months.
Thats probably the longest we've gone without playing.
We've always had gigs or shows, and if not, parties, get togethers, fellowships, holidays, birthdays, visitors..any excuse to play we've done that.
But as we started playing the other day, we all felt pretty rusty. But that evening we went back in and by the end i was like: "Plan of attack is BAck!" (i hip hipped a bit too..)
Well we're gonna update the Misc pics section soon, showing pics from all the above mentioned "other playing".
And last but not least, shout out back to Justin for his mention of us..
And I hope he enjoyed both Mendoza and my folks place as much as I did! «

2005-02-13 -- Hawaii --

Gabe expounded on Argentina so I think I'll say something about my time in Hawaii. I was 10 years old and had just left Alaska, I went with my Mom and brother to Hawaii not to stay but to fundraise to get back to Japan. We ended up staying there for about 3 months and I had mixed opinions about the place from "wow this place rules" to "I wanna get outta here". As soon as I learn from Jer/Zero how to upload pictures I'll upload one of me with the fishies in Hawaii. Anyway I hope everyone is doing well. Please keep our up and coming practice in your prayers as we have not practiced in awhile and it could be really bummerish or it could be great. Lots of Love. GBAKY. «

2005-02-12 -- Continued.. --

Well a few posts back I mentioned I lived in Mendoza Argentina..
I thought id expound on that to say that not only was it an awesome place, but that was one cool period of time for me.
I only lived there for about a year and a half, but while there I did many interesting things Id either never done or wont forget any time too soon.
I taught english, at schools, to children, businessmen, politicians. I tried to learn spanish. I experienced love, happiness and sorrow. I helped feed street kids every week. I started to learn to share my beliefs and the truth id found with others. I decided to throw my lot in with those who will always be outcasts to some.. and I got into climbing with a neighbor of mine who took me out alot until I learned "the ropes". I climbed in dirt, snow, rock and ice, I climbed about 6000 meters at best, experienced what altitude sickness and snow blindness (not fun) are and finally fell in love with creation and the God who had made it all. It became so clear and simple to me then.
I was pretty obsessed with it for awhile, probably unhealthily, but thats because I can be pretty extreme when it finally comes down to it,
but I loved it alot.. I miss it!
the mountains, the people, the country, the food.. good times!
Im sure in my line of work and way of life Ill be sure to return sooner or later, so im not worried.
All that to say... go to Argentina (Mendoza). You wont regret it!
You might find me there too.. «

2005-02-11 -- News 4 ya'll --

Hello one and all. Im back with a prayer request to whoever may see this. We are raising funds to be able to attend Wordstock(We haven't been accepted yet but we're all praying)and we have come up with a snazzy new unconventional out of the box, supernaural, neato, nifty, swell, spiffy, spectacular, psychadelic, righteous, tupendicular, neato burrito new way of going about it.

We go to different businesses(namely car dealerships and large name brand clothing stores )showing them a piece of paper which shows how much we need to raise to send us and they put down how much they want to donate and we put their name card on our clip board and on to the next business.

So here Gabe and I go resembling sleezy used car salesmen with our hair slicked over to the side with a clip board under me arm and a stack of Activated's in the other hand we set off .

We have learned alot so far (things like speaking as though you are in control and it isn't an option to take no for an answer). We have had alot of good responses so Lord(and WOC) willing we will be playing at Wordstock 2005. Adios. GBY «

2005-02-11 -- gripes --

Blog Blog Blog. Humph.
Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. I have been preoccupied with numerous other things namely recovering from a LONG days work the other day working with concrete for the new studio.
I was holding a hand full of concrete all day and now my hands are craked beyond all recognition(works wonders for instrument playing abilities)
even the 2 pound bottle of hand creme which I exhausted in the last 24 hours has not made much of a change in my hands overly ripe condition.
Anyways aside from these few small complaints i am feeling exuberant and my zest for life is growing by the day. P.S
I was out witnessing yesterday and a very nice chap just dropped 100$ into my hand. I thanked him heartily and he just acted as though he had given me 25cents. Miracle ? Yes

2005-02-10 -- Delinquency --

Its been a few days since any of us have blogged.
I would give the normal excuses except I doubt any one would buy it..
But in our defense I have to say: in the time that we as a band have been taking a little hiatus since the last gig, we have started building our own studio!
We took some pics of us looking dirty and like we actually do labour so we could prove to all, but you'll have to wait for us to post those as Jer hasnt taught me that part yet..
(NEWS FLASH! tim just informed me (as a I type) that he just posted about our construction, of all the sly things..!*@#$ well at least you'll know we're busy.. ha!
Other than that, we have all been mad busy as usual. But I found the time to discover this little nugget
Its my favorite (and first, I think,) movie of last year..
I'll have to work on one for this year..
but that will come
until then.. cheers!

Yesterday Gabe, Tony, Andrew (my bro) & I spent the day working on our new studio/practice pad.Which includes laying cinder blocks, dry wall, lots & lots of insulation,& all that good stuff. It's a lot of work, but it should be done within the next couple of weeks. Hopefully we'll get some pics of the process up soon. Gabe wanted to blog about this too but I beat him to it, ha. He'll probably have something to say about it all anyway & maybe a "link" or two! Ha. Lovin' you Gabe! Links are cool.

2005-02-06 -- link mania --

Recently I watched the movie Luther and was Blown away with it!
Not only was the guy amazing, but the story line followed (for those who understand) the life with grandpa to the tee!
The main things I admired in Luther was his un flinching conviction and his knowledge of the written Word.
I then googled him and found This sweet link which goes on about legends concernig him.
Well this might not interest every one, but I wanted to see if I still had these "links" down.
Kudos and Thanks to our webmaster Jer for the updates!
And I hope some like this subject matter as much as I do. «
